communityity: led by Olivia Blyth this drawing workshop works with place. Through exploring the patterns, rhythms and sounds of a place, our awareness of community expands. Using drawing as a tool we have the opportunity to collaborate with the natural world community, allowing its kōrero to flow through us and for us to become part of it.
Olivia will be sharing processes that free and open her to a place for problem solving and for wānanga from the natural world. Participants will be engaging in sensory drawing using a variety of supplied materials.
In exchange for a small gift, drawings from the workshop will be collected and displayed as well as published in the Hapori publication alongside excerpts of Olivia’s essay writing.
Drawing materials are provided as well as tea and kai.
Workshops run on two consecutive Saturdays: 22 and 29 April. All welcome to drop in anytime between 12pm and 4pm on both Saturdays.
